24- HOUR STOP WORK MEETING

TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2015  

 

The proposed 2014-2018 Pacific Coast Longshore Contract Document (PCLCD), will be presented Tuesday, April 21, 2015 @ 2:00 p.m. at the 24-hour Stop Work Meeting taking place at the StubHub Center (Tennis Arena) 18400 Avalon Blvd., Carson, CA.  Gates open at 1:00 p.m., meeting starts promptly at 2:00 p.m.   

 

NO FLOP DAY

TUESDAY, APRIL 21, 2015  

 

April 21, 2015 will be a No Flop Day, due to the 24-Hour Stop Work Meeting being held at the StubHub Center.

 

FREE HOURS ENDING

 

The temporary “Free Hours” for all CL’s and HL’s are ending effective May 1, 2015 due to the completion of the high volume fruit season.  

 

2014 CONTRACT ELECTION NOTICE

 

The voting for ratification of the 2014-2019 Pacific Coast Contract Document (PCLCD) will take place on the date(s) and time(s) listed below:

 

Date: Monday May 11, 2015  

Tuesday, May 12, 2015

Wednesday, May 13, 2015

 

Time: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

 

Place: ILWU Memorial Hall

231 W. “C” Street

Wilmington, CA 90744

 

All Class “A” members and Class “B” registrants are required to vote on the contract ballot. PLEASE BRING YOUR LOCAL 13 OR PMA ID CARD WITH YOU.

 

LOCAL 13 FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM – 2015

 

Applications for the ILWU Local 13 Family Scholarship Program are now available in the Local 13 Dues Office and Records Room at the Dispatch Hall.   Any Local 13 member whose son/daughter will graduate from High School in the 2015 school year can apply.  If you have any questions, please contact Renee Olloque at 310-830-1130, ext. 128.

 

FOOD BINS – FOR “GIVING CHILDREN HOPE”

 

Food Bins on behalf of “Giving Children Hope” have been placed in the Dispatch Hall and at the Local 13 Offices.  Please donate a small bag of “beans” or “rice” ONLY – that would fit into a small kids back pack.  The donation bins will be available until Friday, May 1, 2015.  Your support is greatly appreciated and will help hungry children.
